19th March 2003 - Finally uploaded photos from the game against Forest Green and last Saturdays defeat at the hands of Tamworth in the FA Trophy.
2nd March 2003 - Uploaded photos from yesterday's draw against Barnet.
27th February 2003 - Uploaded photos from last Saturday's excellent FA Trophy win against Halifax. If you want to sign up for the new Talk Of The Town newsletter, emailed weekly, please go to the new FarnboroughTownFC.com website and signup.
25th February 2003 - I'm back! Well sort of. The domain is now on pantherstudio.co.uk so update your links and email addresses as appropriate. Hopefully I'll the .com back at some point but I gave up waiting. Now to get Saturday's Trophy photos uploaded...
19th February 2003 - Serious technical difficulties with my f*cking hosting company currently means that no pantherstudio.co.uk email is getting through. I apologise for any inconvenience. If you want to contact me in the meantime please use the address al@delphidev.co.uk
16th February 2003 - Uploaded a few pictures from yesterdays game where we cheated out of a possible result by incompetent officials. If you haven't already please remember to subscribe to the new Talk of the Town newsletter which is sent out every Thursday night ahead of the weekend game. The data collected from this newsletter will be used to help attract new sponsors to the club, click here to signup.
9th February 2003 - Back to Conference action this week after over a month with just one league game up in Halifax. Our new manager Ian McDonald has reversed the trend for players leaving by signing Paul Harkness from Walton & Hersham and Ronnie Girvan from Hampton & Richmond until the end of the season. He then added Stuart Reeks from Woking and the excellent signing of Geoff Pitcher who both arrive on loan for a month. Added pictures from yesterdays hard fought game at Dagenham & Redbridge where we failed to get our deserved share of the points. Many thanks to the scum who broke into the club last week causing much damage and stealing the social club's sound system and quantities of drink. If anyone knows who these little low lifes were I would appreciate it if you could inform the club or the local police.
1st February 2003 - A week is a long time in football. Earlier in the week Graham resigned as Chairman and Manager and went to manage SBFC (they used to be Stevenage, but we know what Graham likes) taking half our first team with him. Personally I think that this could be the best thing that could have happened. Farnborough people will again run and control the club and it should become a community club again with many people working together make the club as good as we can.
Anyway football continues and Lenny Piper and the rest of the lads went up to Telford to play some sublime football and get through to the fifth round of the FA Trophy, click here for the pictures. Well done lads, now lets go onto win the Trophy and get into the playoffs.
26th January 2003 - I've uploaded a few pictures from yesterday's little game up in London, click here. An enjoyable day out and a unique experience, really brought home why I love non-league football and terraces. Hopefully we can now go on and get into the playoff positions and maybe a good run in the Trophy. Sorry for the limited pictures from late on but a steward brought by photography to a premature end (just about) so no pictures of the goal, you'll just have to watch it on the telly. Still I got more than I expected.
The only real disappointment was the location of the seating for season ticket holders and regular fans who were generally stuck off to the sides of the stand. Those in the prime locations behind the goal? somehow I think they were all the tickets that Graham and the players had. Just look at match of the day and see how many 'boro shirts you can count behind the goal. This also meant that the P.R.E. singers were all spread out and meant a general lack of atmosphere, still we out sung the Arsenal but then that isn't difficult.
20th January 2003 - I've uploaded my email to Danny Baker following his article in The Times last Saturday. Had a lucky break today and managed to snap some shots of the FA Cup down at the club today, together with our new Table Football table.
18th January 2003 - I wasn't able to get to the Halifax game today, that must make me a P.R.E. Glory Boy then (and proud of it). Instead I've made most of this rare Saturday without a football match to finally get some old pictures scanned in. Many thanks to Vince Curtis for firstly saving these pictures in the first place and then allowing us to borrow them for the clubhouse and now so they can be shared via the Internet. As there are so many pictures to process I will upload them in batches through the week. Click here to access these pictures.
11th January 2003 - Added photos from the FA Trophy game against Eastbourne Borough. It's really been a strange week with the joy of beating Darlington and drawing Arsenal and subsequent media attention down to the vitriolic attacks from TalkSh*te and Danny "hey I know Gazza" Baker. If you haven't already take a look at Baker's pathetic article in the times here and write him an appropriate email to margaret.rutherford@bbc.co.uk.
7th January 2003 - What could be better than beating Darlington in the third round of the FA Cup? Drawing Arsenal at home in the fourth round that's what. We're all over the paper's, the TV and the radio. I wake up in the morning to hear Graham Westley being interviewed on the radio and The Sun seem to have adopted us, Page 3 girls in 'boro shirts and everything. Oh and if we play at the AIMITA Stadium (or Cherrywood Road for those who haven't been interested since West Ham) we'll be live on Sky. Come on Sky sort us out and get satellite television put back into the bar.
Now what could be better? Well you lucky lucky people I've got my (old fashioned) photos back and have uploaded a number of celebration shots from the end of the Darlo game.
If you haven't voted (or even if you have) please go TheFA.com and vote Danny Carroll as player of the round and win his school £1000 of Umbro gear.
5th January 2003 - Added pictures from yesterday's FA Cup game up at Darlington.Thank you Graham Westley very much that was a fantastic performance, I don't think I've enjoyed a day at the football so much since maybe Boxing Day. The team really did so proud. Who do we want in the next round? Well I fancy a Premiership club, either Liverpool or a London side. But you know we'll get Shrewsbury or Dagenham, or maybe another trip up North against the likes of Rochdale or Grimsby. Or how about Wimbledon at home? How good it is to be in the FA Cup longer than Everton and Spurs.
Please note that as there are loads of pictures I've split them into pages for the first half and second half. I also have some film to get developed next week so will hopefully has some celebratory shots from the end of the match (players and fans).
Also added a few pictures from last Saturdays thrashing by Stevenage, couldn't be bothered to update it earlier but after yesterday's performance who really cares.
26th December 2002 - We finally get decent revenge on the Woking leaving them to just to whinge about our away end (at least we let you into our bar). Graham was able to field what must surely be our first choice XI for the 5 nil thrashing of Woking. Roll on Stevenage, Woking again and the little matter of a game up in Darlington. What a great day, Merry Christmas.
14th December 2002 - The mighty Farnborough Town continue their excellent form beating Southport again with a couple of late goals.
7th December 2002 - And we're into the third round draw after a great win up in sunny Southport. Fantastic turnout and singing throughout the game, loved the 'Feed the Scousers...' song. Must of the decent pics are of fans as we kicked the wrong way in the first half and at this time of the year there just isn't any light in the second half, but who cares because we're through.
2nd December 2002 - Added pictures from Saturday's trouncing of Burton Albion for our 200th Conference game. Congratulations to Graham Westley and the whole squad for winning BBC South's Non-league Team of the 2002.
I would like to thank the Farnborough Town Supporter's Club for their contribution towards the cost of the clubhouse renovation, Andy, Nick and myself are very grateful.
23rd November 2002 - Added pictures from the Northwich Victoria game.
16th November 2002 - We drive into the 2nd Round of the FA Cup with a glamour tie with mighty Southport! What's the chances of that game getting televised? They'll just show Hereford again I suppose. Anyway we power into the second round with an easy win against Harrogate Town. Sorry for the delay in getting the pictures up but that Hog's Back TEA is just too nice.
13th November 2002 - The redecoration of the social club is almost complete just in time for the FA Cup game against Harrogate and our 200th home Conference game against Burton next week. In addition to the painting, cleaning and pictures we also have a music system again to give the place a bit more atmosphere. All we need now is some decent beer on tap (come on Vince you know it'll make money). Many thanks to all that have helped but especially to Kate and John O'Hara, Andy Goymer, Nick Harman, my Dad, Vince Curtis (for the old pictures and memorabilia), Nigel Long (for ideas and the minidisc player), Vince Williams and Micky Warner.
9th November 2002 - Added a few pictures from today's game against Gravesend and Northfleet. Much better all around performance but we were unable to pinch all three points.
2nd November 2002 - Added some pictures from today's disappointing game at home to Nuneaton Borough. A poor performance from both the team and the fans, who gave the players an unfair and unreasonable amount of abuse. Hopefully we'll get better performances, all round, for next week's trip to Gravesend before the big FA Cup game at home to Harrogate.
28th October 2002 - Finally got the pictures from the FA Cup game at Molesey uploaded. I'm afraid I found the Moles far too friendly and enjoyed far too much of their beer for far too long. Next Sunday (3rd) there will be another work party at the ground working on the bar, if you fancy helping out with a painting and can spare an hour or so please come and help us.
19th October 2002 - Added a load of pictures from today's game up at Morecambe. An entertaining game with lot's of chances made the long trip worthwhile.
12th October 2002 - It's been a while since I've been able to take pictures of the 'boro in daylight and we go and lose to the bottom of the league side, doh! Well pictures from the Kettering Town game have been added. At least things are moving forward with the ground development, new stadium with the council, bar improvements, etc so not all is doom and gloom. We're just 5 points off a playoff place and still in the top half of the table which considering our start to the season and some of the performances so far is pretty good.
21st September 2002 - Added photos from the game against Leigh RMI. Two wins in five days moves us up to a respectable 8th in the league and three points above Woking :-) who have now conceded ten goals in the same period.
14th September 2002 - Added photos from the Scarborough game.
31st August 2002 - Added photos from the Dagenham & Redbridge game, great strike from Tags getting us all three points. The website should be all back up and running now as well.
24th August 2002 - Added photos from the Hereford and Halifax games, I also updated the players page to complete the line-up of photos and add one for Rodwell.
13th August 2002 - I just made loads of updates. First of all I have uploaded the pictures from the South Coast Tour. Secondly I was invited to the official squad photo session and so have added a page with some pictures from that. In addition I have a fully updated players page with squad pictures and player pen pics. Roll on Saturday...
4th August 2002 - Pictures added from 1-0 win at home against Third Division Leyton Orient featuring the introduction of Leroy Griffiths.
27th July 2002 - Pictures added from our third pre-season down at Crawley.
24th July 2002 - A few pictures from our first home game of the season against Portsmouth have been added.
20th July 2002 - After a couple of months without proper football (apart from some little competition in the Far East) the mighty 'boro are back. Starting with an easy win against Ryman Premiership newboys Bishop's Stortford. Remember there is still work to be done down at the ground so come along on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday if you can.
18th April 2002 - Finally got some pictures from Saturday's game against Scarborough up-loaded.
1st April 2002 - Added some pictures from the game against Northwich Victoria, now up to fifth in the table (play-off place!)
30th March 2002 - Pictures from the Hayes game added. Another game, another win. 13 goals in three games, fantastic!
23th March 2002 - First results with the new digital camera, and what a game (Stevenage) to take pictures at. Still getting used to the advantages/limitations compared with my 'proper' camera.
12th March 2002 - Finally got my internet access sorted out again and will be updating shortly with pictures from the Dover and Yeovil games. Plus some shots taken last year at the FA Cup game at Halifax. Lighter evenings mean I can take meaningful pictures again and the imminent arrival of a digital camera should mean I get shots up shortly after the game.
29th October 2001 - Pictures from the FA Cup game at King's Lynn. Dedicated to Lenny Piper (although there are a couple of shots of Taggs). Don't let our Lenny go.
26th October 2001 - After almost two months I've finally pulled my finger out and add photos from two of the worst games of the season, Stalybridge away and Hayes at home.
28th August 2001 - Added pictures from the great win against Barnet yesterday. Also added a couple more shots from the Southport game. Last update for a few weejs whilst I'm on my holi-bobs, I'll be taking pictures at the Celtic game but won't get to process them for a couple of weeks.
27th August 2001 - Added all the pre-season friendly pictures plus photos from the Southport game. Pictures from todays fantastic game will be added tomorrow. I will update the player pictures then.
29th July 2001 - Updated the layout to cope with the fact that I'm taking more 'boro photos. There is now a dedicated Farnborough Town FC page which will allow me to group the photos by player. I've also put up some Ryman League Champions wallpaper. Some pre-season photos should be added during the next week or so. Also added Dave.
Also started adding my collection of landscape photography from my holiday in Scotland, I've got to do something during pre-season.
27th June 2001 - Finally found a Panther graphic, see above. I'm on holiday over the next few weeks so hope to have the website tidied up (maybe some redesign) ready for our season back in the Conference.
8th May 2001 - Added the last photos for the season from our game against Hampton. Only one shot of the game, admittedly I got the goal and a few of the magnificent 'boro players celebrating at the end. Congratulations to the lads, it's been a great season and I look forward to being back in the Conference.
3rd May 2001 - Added more photos taken by Andy from our championship weekend at Billericay.
30th April 2001 - Added photos from our championship weekend at Billericay.
Farnborough Town FC - Ryman League Champions 2000/2001
Important - Photography and large amounts of beer do not work as well together as you would imagine.
24th April 2001 - Added some photos from last Saturday's St Albans game.
21st April 2001 - Added photos from the Tom Adamson Memorial game, including Graham Westley in the Grasshopper suit.
20th April 2001 - Recreated the main website using templates and appropriate graphics for the new domain. Also added a page with pictures from last Monday's Aldershot vs Farnborough Town game.
